Transforming What America Plays On

Artificial Turf Replacement

Removing artificial turf panels from field at the Buffalo Bills' Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Repairing the e-layer at Bismarck Community Stadium for reuse in the new A-Turf surface.

A-Turf has been replacing synthetic turf fields with newer/better A-Turf systems since 2004.

  • We are very careful and intentional when removing an existing artificial turf system.
    • ADAPTIVE REUSE: In many cases, we find other accepted reuses for turf (like golf driving range mats, baseball batting cage tunnels and bullpens, and equestrian stables).
    • RECYCLE: When possible, we recycle components like fiber, infill and turf backing.
    • DISPOSAL: We use proper disposal methods that meet environmental guidelines.
  • We've even removed and reused infill for the same field which reduces project cost, waste and landfill dumping.
  • Our construction crews are experts at patching existing e-layers for reuse with the new system.
  • The resilient ShockPad used with A-Turf systems has 2 to 3 turf systems lifecycle.
