Marcellus, NY - Build it and they will come … and wow, did the fans ever come … streams of fans, waves of fans, fans as far as the eye could see, young fans, old fans … the new stadium overflowed long before Ryan Novak kicked the opening kickoff into the end zone for a touchback. It has been 15 months and 14 games since Marcellus had “home-field advantage” but tonight as the lights came on, and the scoreboard lit up, and thousands cheered in a deafening roar there was no doubt the ‘Stangs new house was worth the wait. The new field is an absolute gem and the Mustangs christened it tonight with an electrifying win, 21-14, over Class A invaders from the North Country.
