Safety Improvements are Top Priority for Chambersburg Area School District
Posted June 29, 2017
With safety concerns rising due to a deteriorating 10-year old turf field and rubberized track, Chambersburg School District turned to A-Turf for help. In record time of just 13 working days, from start to finish, the old turf system was removed and a new A-Turf® Titan system was installed.
This new 90,000 square foot field includes a 12-year warranty and is the perfect home for the Chambersburg Trojans. Game line markings include football, soccer, field hockey, girl’s lacrosse and boy’s lacrosse and will be ready for the new 2017-2018 season.
Chambersburg Area School District took advantage of the Pennsylvania’s COSTARS CO-OP purchasing program for their new state-of-the art A-Turf field. COSTARS serves as a conduit through which registered and eligible local public procurement units (LPPUs) and state-affiliated entities (Members) are able to leverage contracts established by DGS to cost effectively and efficiently engage in cooperative purchasing.
